As a service member, protecting your assets is important. That includes having a plan in place to care for your loved ones in the event that you are incapacitated or otherwise unavailable. The Office of the Under Secretary of Defense (Personnel and Readiness) Legal Policy collaborates with the Office of Financial Readiness, or FINRED, to provide helpful resources to maximize your benefits and protect your family if something happens to you.

You want to make sure your family is taken care of no matter what the circumstances. Legal Policy wants you to feel confident as you make the hard decisions, including who will make choices on your behalf, who will care for your dependents and who will receive your property.
